Xceptional

One clever business, Xceptional has harnessed the strengths of autistic people to develop a social purpose technology services firm.  Inspired by his sister Sarah, Xceptional founder Mike Tozer wanted to create a workplace where people with autism felt supported and their skills utilised.

Through Xceptional Mike set about empowering autistic people to fill skills gaps in areas including data analytics to cyber security.

With the support of the Growth Grant Xceptional has scaled up and expanded into recruitment and placement services.

Xceptional is already seeing the positive impact of their business; creating meaningful careers, independence and better social well-being for autistic people.

Investment

With the support of a $70,000 Growth Grant Xceptional sought the services of Social Impact Hub to help with business and strategic planning, impact measurement and readiness, legal advice and capital raising.  Xceptional went on to raise $600,000, principally through a loan vehicle which incentivises business to grow their social impact.
