Chair

Rosemary is a go to global leader and strategist in social innovation and investment and shared value. In 2015, she was recognised in the 100 Women of Influence (AFR/Westpac) for contributions to innovation. In 2017, she was a finalist for Women in Finance Thought Leader of the Year. Rosemary established and Chairs the Australian Advisory Board on Impact Investing (AAB) which drives Australia’s contribution to catalysing a global impact as part of the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment (GSG), alongside similar bodies in 16 other countries.

Rosemary represents Australia at the GSG, of which she has been a Trustee since 2018, and founded and Chairs Impact Investing Australia, formed to design and deliver the AAB strategy. Rosemary advises on shaping global practice, conventions and evidence through the OECD Expert Group on Impact Investment and Bridges Impact+ Global Advisory Council. Between 2010-2017 she was a member of the NSW Government Social Investment Expert Advisory Group.

Rosemary’s leadership approach draws on unique experience across sectors: as a professional services partner at Allens Arthur Robinson (now Allens-Linklaters) where she was recognised among the world’s leading lawyers (Chambers Global), working in and with the community and philanthropic sectors and in State and Federal Government. She led the Australian Government’s first social innovation unit, breaking new ground in social innovation and investment.

Over a 30 year + career in innovation, Rosemary has published widely and presented globally on innovation and investment, particularly on the role of governments and policy, shared value and on breakthrough strategies for impact at scale. She is an experienced Chair and Director and holds a degree in Law (First Class Honours), the New York Bar, is a graduate of the AICD and an internationally accredited broker of cross-sector partnerships.
