In October 2016, Impact Investing Australia launched the pioneering Benchmarking Impact report presenting the findings from analysis of impact investment activity and performance data for a data-set of Australian impact investments active as at 30 June 2015, with a total product value of $1.2 billion.
In March 2016, Impact Investing Australia published the results of Australia’s inaugural impact investing survey. 123 investors – including institutions; trusts and foundation; not for profit organistions; and individual investors – participated, providing an important contribution to understanding how the demand for impact investing is shaping in Australia.
A practical guide to understanding social costs: Developing the evidence base for informed social impact investment
In February 2016, in association with the Australian Advisory Board on Impact Investing, Deloitte Access Economics published a guide to better inform the development, funding and delivery of social services.
In October 2015, Impact Investing Australia launched the Blueprint for a new and independent financial institution – Impact Capital Australia (ICA) – to accelerate development and achieve scale for impact investing in Australia. ICA has been designed to be a game changer for Australia, mobilising more capital and transforming the way Australia deals with social and environmental challenges.
Delivering on Impact – The Australian Advisory Board Breakthrough Strategy to Catalyse Impact Investment
Launched in September 2014, the Delivering on Impact report by the Australian Advisory Board on Impact Investing sets out an ambitious, dynamic strategy to accelerate the market for impact investing and deliver impact in Australia. Impact Investing Australia is driving the implementation of this strategy and its program of activity.
On 15 September 2014, the Social Impact Investment Taskforce established by the G8 – and including Australia as one of eight country participants – launched its global report Impact Investment: The Invisible Heart of Markets. This groundbreaking report calls on governments and the financial sector to take action to unleash this investment for tackling social problems, and makes key recommendations for building a successful global market for impact investment.
